Bac Ninh Province has historical significance in the context of Vietnamese Catholicism and Christianity. Over the years, various churches, cathedrals, and religious institutions have been established in the region, reflecting the enduring presence and contributions of Catholics and Christians within Bac Ninh and Vietnam’s broader religious landscape.
Cathedral has a baroque architecture and has been consecrated in 1892, making it a very old church in the region.
In 1992, to celebrate the church’s 100th anniversary, the Pope John Paul II give Bac Ninh Cathedral the role of a place of pilgrimage.
Visitors flock here on Christmas holidays.
Unfortunately, we were not able to go inside this church. Be Back.
